1. US Government Holds $20.4B Bitcoin and $493M Other Digital Assets link
U.S. President Trump signed an executive order in March instructing the Treasury Department to establish a “Strategic Bitcoin Reserve” and a “U.S. Digital Asset Reserve,” which will include cryptocurrencies confiscated by the government through criminal or civil proceedings, with an estimated total value exceeding $21 billion. According to Chainalysis, as of May 28, the U.S. government holds approximately $20.4 billion in Bitcoin and $493 million in other digital assets, primarily derived from criminal activities.
2. US VP JD Vance: Bitcoin Holders in US May Grow to 100M link
At the Bitcoin 2025 conference held in Las Vegas, U.S. Vice — President JD Vance delivered a speech, emphasizing the increasingly important status of Bitcoin and digital assets in the U.S. economy and policies.
He pointed out that the development of artificial intelligence will profoundly affect the future of Bitcoin in both positive and negative ways, and stated that Bitcoin can play a role in the national economic strategy. Vance supports the 《GENIUS Act》, believing that this act is expected to promote the application of stablecoins in digital payments, while enhancing market transparency and protecting users’ rights and interests.
He also reaffirmed that the current government is committed to repealing the unfavorable policies of the previous government towards the cryptocurrency industry, and claimed that cryptocurrencies are hedging tools against inflation and fiscal policy failures. Currently, about 50 million Americans hold Bitcoin, and it is expected to increase to 100 million in the future. Vance said that he himself holds a considerable amount of Bitcoin.
3. Trump Media (DJT) Completes $2.5B Private Financing, Plans Bitcoin Vault link
Trump Media (DJT) has completed private — placement agreements with approximately 50 institutional investors. It will issue about $1.5 billion in common stock and $1 billion in convertible bonds, with a total financing of about $2.5 billion, and the settlement is expected on May 29. The funds raised will be mainly used to establish a Bitcoin vault. Cryptocom and Anchorage Digital will provide custody services for Trump Media’s Bitcoin vault.

The Division of Corporation Finance of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a statement stating that certain protocol — staking activities conducted on public, permissionless proof — of — stake (PoS) blockchain networks do not constitute securities transactions, which is applicable to individual staking and institutions providing non — custodial or custodial staking services. The statement also pointed out that services with functions such as slashing risk protection, early unlocking, reward payment, or asset aggregation do not automatically constitute securities offerings. This statement aims to provide regulatory clarity for staking participants and support compliant participation in the network consensus mechanism.
6. Circle Files for NYSE Listing link
Circle has filed a listing application with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), planning to issue 24 million shares of Class A common stock. Of these, 9.6 million shares will be offered by the company and 14.4 million shares by shareholders. The expected offering price range is between $24 and $26 per share, with the trading symbol CRCL.
BlackRock plans to subscribe for approximately 10% of the shares offered in Circle Internet Group’s proposed IPO. According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Circle and some of its shareholders, including CEO Jeremy Allaire, aim to raise up to $624 million through this offering. Ark Investment also intends to purchase up to $150 million worth of shares. Circle’s IPO has already seen oversubscription relative to the offering size, and pricing is expected to be determined on June 4.
7. Strategy Buys 4,020 Additional BTC link
Strategy announced that it has newly purchased 4,020 BTC, costing approximately $427 million, with an average price of $106,237 per coin. The investment yield of BTC within the year has reached 16.8%. As of May 25th, Strategy holds a total of 580,250 BTC, with a total investment of about $40.61 billion and an average purchase price of $69,979.
8. Tether CEO: Tether Holds Over 100K Bitcoin and 50 Tons of Gold link
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said at the Bitcoin 2025 conference that Tether currently holds more than 100,000 bitcoins (worth over $10 billion) and 50 tons of gold. Tether made a profit of about $1.3 billion in 2024. Ardoino emphasized that Tether’s holding of a small amount of gold is not in competition with bitcoins, but serves as a reserve asset against fiat — currencies.

9. Google Researcher: Quantum Resources to Crack Bitcoin Reduced 20x link
The latest research by Google’s quantum — computing team shows that the quantum resources required to break the RSA encryption that underpins systems such as Bitcoin wallets and bank accounts are 20 times less than previously estimated. Researcher Craig Gidney pointed out that in 2019, he estimated that 20 million “noisy qubits” were needed to factorize a 2048 — bit RSA number in 8 hours. However, according to the latest algorithm and error — correction optimization, the same task may be completed in a week with less than 1 million qubits. Although Google’s research focuses on RSA encryption, the elliptic curve encryption (ECC) used by Bitcoin has a similar mathematical structure. If RSA can be broken by quantum computing ahead of schedule, the security timeline of ECC will be greatly compressed.
10. SharpLink Gaming Raises $425M in Private Funding, Launches Ethereum Financial Strategy link
US — listed company SharpLink announced today that it has signed a securities purchase agreement to conduct a $425 — million private investment in public equity (PIPE). It plans to issue approximately 69.1 million common shares at a price of $6.15 per share. Consensys, as the lead investor, is leading the investment, and the transaction is expected to be completed on May 29. SharpLink plans to use the raised funds to purchase ETH as the company’s main treasury — reserve asset.
